    mornington peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula is renowned for its cool climate pinots, chardonnays, pinot gris and recently shiraz and has produced some of Australia's finest wines over the past few decades since the rebirth of the wine industry. Many of the wines are made in tiny quantities in small wineries (eg we can only make 1 barrel of Darling Park Cane-Cut Pinot gris every year; that's only 600 half-bottles) - and there just isn't enough to go around all the bottle shops.  So the only way that you can get to know some of the rarer vintages is to visit us.
The Mornington Peninsula is an interesting region - varied and condensed. In a couple of days you can visit just about every cellar door on the mornington peninsula and still have time for a swim (in the bay, or at the fabulous Peninsula Hot Springs when the weather's colder).
Multitudes of options for overnight stays - see our neighbours over on the right for some nearby Red Hill B&B's.
Many of us are also members of the Mornington Peninsula Hinterland Association - check out their web site for ideas of what to do, where to go and where to sleep on the high ground between the bays.
